TERMS & CONDITIONS
Upon purchasing a ticket, I confirm that:
I have read all the detailed information provided about the event.
I agree to comply with all rules and requests laid out by the organisers and the owner of the property for the safety and enjoyment of everyone present.
I understand that violence, harassment, discrimination, and/or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. I acknowledge that the event organisers and management staff reserve the right to refuse my entry or terminate my stay without a refund if my behaviour compromises the safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of others.
I take full responsibility for my health and safety whilst on the property and whilst attending the entire event. I am aware of the risks associated with attending an outdoor event, including camping, uneven terrain, wildlife, weather conditions, and being in or near the creek. I am fully responsible for myself and, to the best of my ability, those around me.
I agree to inform the organisers prior to the event of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, mobility requirements, pregnancy, or other circumstances that may reasonably affect my participation or require additional support.
My participation in any and all workshops, activities, demonstrations, performances, and private sessions is entirely voluntary and at my own risk. I understand that PlayFest Retreat and its organisers, facilitators, volunteers, contractors, staff, and venue owners shall exercise reasonable care in delivering the event.
I understand that I am responsible for participating within my own physical, emotional, and psychological capacity, and I may choose to stop or withdraw from any activity at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, PlayFest Retreat, its organisers, facilitators, volunteers, contractors, staff, and venue owners are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death arising from my participation in the event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
By participating in PlayFest Retreat, I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, losses, or damages, whether known or unknown, arising from my participation. This includes travel to and from the event, participation in organised activities, private sessions, use of the venue and facilities, and any independent activities undertaken whilst attending the event.
I understand that the information, workshops, discussions, demonstrations, and activities offered at PlayFest Retreat are educational, recreational, and community-based experiences intended to support wellbeing, creative expression, and personal exploration. They are not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, physiotherapy, financial, legal, or other professional advice.
Participants are expected to behave responsibly and not participate in workshops or activities whilst impaired by alcohol or illicit drugs. The organisers reserve the right to refuse participation in any activity where they reasonably believe it would present a risk to the participant or others.
In the event of an accident or medical emergency where I am unable to make decisions for myself, I authorise the organisers to seek appropriate medical assistance on my behalf. I understand that I remain responsible for any associated medical, ambulance, transport, or treatment costs.
If I am pregnant, I confirm that I am of suitable health to participate in the event. I will inform all facilitators whose sessions I attend that I am pregnant and will notify the organisers via email prior to the event so they may best support me. I understand it is recommended that I consult my healthcare provider before participating.
Parents and legal guardians remain solely responsible for the supervision, safety, and wellbeing of any children attending with them at all times.
I understand that I am responsible for my own personal belongings. PlayFest Retreat accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property brought to the event.
I accept that the organisers and facilitators reserve the right to alter the program, workshop schedule, facilitators, activities, accommodation arrangements, or event format where reasonably necessary.
I understand that the event may also be affected by weather conditions, natural events, government directions, venue requirements, safety considerations, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the organisers. Where necessary, the organisers reserve the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel aspects of the event.
I understand that ticket sales are final and my ticket is non-refundable due to the nature of the event. I am aware that I may resell or transfer my ticket independently, provided I notify the event organisers of the replacement participant so that the guest list and event records can be updated.
I acknowledge and understand that none of the information shared at PlayFest Retreat is to be taken as medical, psychological, financial, legal, or other professional advice.
IMAGE RELEASE
Participants acknowledge and consent to being photographed, filmed, and audio recorded in connection with the Event. Participants hereby grant PlayFest Retreat a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use their name, image, likeness, voice, photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, statements, quotations, and other materials captured during the Event for lawful promotional, educational, archival, and marketing purposes, including use in print, digital media, websites, and social media, without further consent or compensation.
PlayFest Retreat respects participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded agree to notify the organisers by email prior to the event and, upon arrival, identify themselves to the media team and request a designated wristband or other identification. Reasonable efforts will be made to avoid capturing such participants, and any inadvertently captured material identified by the participant will be removed where reasonably practicable.
I have read and understood the above release and waiver and acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending PlayFest Retreat, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Refund Policy
Refunds available under special circumstances
Refunds & Ticket Transfers
All tickets are non-refundable due to the advance planning and logistics required for this event.
If you can no longer attend, you may resell or transfer your ticket by emailing the organiser with the new participant's details.
Please note ticket resales and transfers are the responsibility of the ticket holder and resales are available until 2:00pm, 28th Sept 2026 due to event admin & logistics.
